SOC Remote Support Services – Space Programmes

WHAT WE LOOK FOR
We are looking for a SOC Remote Support Services Engineer to support security operations activities within the Galileo programme, working in close coordination with GSMC and GCC-I/D teams.
Requirements:
- University degree (Bachelor’s or higher) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity or a related technical discipline
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in Security Operations, SOC environments or security monitoring activities
- Proven experience in incident handling, security investigations and operational security support
- Experience in SECMON-related activities and security event analysis
- Knowledge of operational security procedures, incident management and crisis handling processes
- Ability to analyse and exploit technical documentation, system design information and data flows
- Experience working in regulated or high-security environments is considered a strong asset
- Fluent English (written and spoken) – minimum B2+ level
- Eligibility for security clearance
WHAT YOU WILL DO
As a SOC Remote Support Services Engineer, you will provide operational security support services for the Galileo programme, acting as an operational interface between GCC-I/D and GSMC.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating in the creation, review and validation of incident handling procedures for nominal and crisis scenarios
- Supporting GCC-I/D SECMON-related activities, including security investigations requested by GSMC
- Managing and supporting the resolution of security incidents, including those requiring ARB decisions
- Supporting security monitoring validation activities between GSMC and GCC-I/D
- Increasing GSMC system knowledge by accessing and analysing technical documentation, as-built system designs and data flows, and sharing relevant information within the GSMC
- Providing authorisations to GSMC upon request regarding changes in the electronic security environment, in line with GSOP requirements
- Supporting and enforcing GSMC auditing responsibilities for Galileo Operations
- Gathering and exploiting inputs related to system and security events not yet accessible through standard GSMC equipment
- Contributing to the improvement of GSMC security reporting by providing direct operational inputs and analysis
- Supporting crisis scenario management, including acceleration of decision-making processes and escalation procedures
- Participating in coordination meetings, CLA meetings and ARB sessions organised at GCC-I/D level, and producing related reports
