Envisat (“Environmental Satellite”) was an Earth observation satellite operated by the European Space Agency (ESA). It was the world’s largest civilian Earth observation satellite equipped with 9 instruments varying from radiometer, interferometer, spectrometer and radars: with a sun-synchronous polar orbit of 700 km altitude it was able to complete a full cycle in 100 minutes.
Within the programme, we provided support to ESA and Thales Alenia Space France (formerly ALCATEL SPACE) for phase-D and phase-E activities.
