WHAT WE LOOK FOR

We are looking for an Operations and Service Provision Engineer to support Galileo Service Provision activities, with a focus on GSF and GRON services, working in close coordination with operational stakeholders at GSMC and GCC-I/D level.

Requirements:

  • University degree (Bachelor’s or higher) in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience in operations, service provision or system evolution support within complex or mission-critical environments
  • Proven experience in service provision support, operational follow-up and coordination of system evolutions
  • Experience supporting system evolutions, maintenance and major releases, including deployment and acceptance activities
  • Experience working with change management processes (ARB, CCB, Change Requests)
  • Ability to analyse technical proposals, perform trade-off analysis and assess operational impacts
  • Experience interacting with multiple stakeholders, including operators, service managers and institutional customers
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) – minimum B2+ level
  • Eligibility for security clearance

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As an Operations and Service Provision Engineer, you will support the Galileo Service Provision for GSF and GRON systems, ensuring safe, efficient and continuous service operations.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting GSF and GRON Service Provision activities within the Galileo programme
  • Following up and reviewing GRON and POCP system evolutions, including technical proposals and trade-off analyses
  • Assessing the impact of system evolutions on operations and coordinating their integration into operational environments
  • Critically reviewing GSF and GRON Service Provision processes in coordination with operational stakeholders
  • Monitoring the implementation of system evolutions and patch deployments by element providers
  • Supporting deployment activities and performing acceptance tests in coordination with providers
  • Maintaining an overview of system anomalies and following up activities through ARB and CCB processes
  • Participating in GRON and POCP ARBs and CCBs and supporting associated change management activities
  • Ensuring that migration and transition strategies are documented, clear and fit for purpose
  • Reviewing deployment, test and validation plans and supporting their approval within applicable planning processes
  • Supporting Short Term Planning activities and coordination with relevant stakeholders
  • Contributing to the identification and mitigation of operational risks to ensure seamless service continuity
